With all costs for the Myrtle Mini trip covered by sponsorship and all monies raised going to Woodenspoon and ELF - Devon Rugby Referee Wing Commander Nigel "Isambard" Gooding (pictured left) has pledged his refereeing milage expenses for this season to the Myrtle Mini appeal. These currently stand at 320 pounds but should easily reach 500 pounds by the end of this current season.
Rugby referees do not get paid for matches but can claim milage to matches to cover petrol and running costs - in essence Nigel is covering the petrol costs for free and giving his expenses to the www.myrtlemini.com appeal.
